The deck imagery and themes are rooted in and inspired by Jessica's pathworkings and experiences as a practicing traditional witch for the past 21 years. Her close relationship with the Dark Feminine and her love of allegory, mythology, botany and the language of mystical symbolism have influenced the illustrations that took her close to 5 years to complete by hand in watercolour.

This deck is ideal for those who are interested in a unique interpretation of the Tarot, it is strongly spiritually-driven rather than focusing on mundane issues. It was created with the intention that it would always tell the truth. A comprehensive 80 page guidebook accompanies the Pythonic Tarot. There is a description of each card, with notation on the symbolism depicted, as well as keywords for both upright and reversed cards.

It has a balance of both bright and shadowy cards, some of which can be very confronting. However, the guidebook gives easy to follow advice about how to move through intense situations.
